The project is located in Hangzhou’s Binjiang district. The site masterplan contemplates a cluster of low rise office buildings with a tower of  100 meters height standing prominently at its heart.

The design aims to create a landmark tower that offers valuable working space conditions while it mitigates the impact of its massive presence on the site, thus enhancing the urban experience.

The prismatic volume has chamfered corners and its profile tapers from the center to the top and bottom defining a characteristic diamond silhouette. Looking the tower at 90 degrees, it fits the spatial grid yet looking at 45 degrees, it reveals the massive impact of such simple design gesture: It broadens the visual perception of the site at street level and the corners turn into valuable space that enhance the interior layout organization.

The plan scheme is organized around a compact central core. The floor plan is a perfect square on the middle of the tower and it decreases in area creating octagons on the top and bottom sections.

The landscape design follows a minimal intervention that pushes the vehicles towards the perimeter, creating a more walkable space that connects the different buildings.

The tower raises from a circular elevated layer of water, which symbolizes prosperity in the Chinese culture. It can be reached in the direction of the tower chamfers to create circulations 360 degrees around it, making all the angles equally important.
The main entrance is situated on the east side, creating a direct visual connection from the campus east and south gates and easy access to the different underground parking entrances.

The facade features a unitized glass curtain wall to contrast the neighbor brick buildings creating a rich game of reflections and refractions with the ever-changing lighting conditions. Its crystalline surface together with a signature top design provides an iconic visual point of recognizable visible at the distance.
